The High Hopes is owned and run by Captain David Wright. Captain Wright has been running charters out of Rudee Inlet since 1978, making him one of, if not the most experienced captain in the area. The High Hopes is the longest continuously running charter business in Virginia Beach. Growing up in Virginia Beach and working as a mate throughout his teenage years gave him a solid foundation to build upon and he officially began his charter captain career at the age of 21 on his first “High Hopes”.
